Austin Kucken picked up the bass at age 12 while taking lessons at Music Maker Studio, and he’s been locked into the groove ever since. What started as a curiosity quickly grew into a lifelong passion, shaping him into the steady, dynamic bassist at the heart of Set N Stone’s sound. By 13, he was already playing in his first band and developing a love for performing live, fueled by the energy of crowds big and small.

As a founding member of Set N Stone, Austin has spent years helping build the band’s identity—from early competitions and milestone gigs to the polished, high-energy shows they deliver today. His musicianship, dedication, and feel for classic rock and yacht rock continue to anchor the band’s performances.

Outside of music, Austin is studying graphic design at Oakland University, channeling his creativity into both visual art and branding projects. He’s a big football fan, loves gaming with friends, and enjoys balancing school, music, and downtime with the people closest to him.
